A COLD caller ripped tiles from a roof and then demanded £3,000 to fix it.
Police are now investigating following the incident in Burton, Christchurch on the afternoon of Tuesday January 26.
A spokesman said: "The individual came to the door cold calling stating the roof needed to be fixed. Without permission he pulled tiles off and quoted £3,000 to fix. The victim refused and called the police."

The damaged roof had to be covered with a tarpaulin following the incident.
