Whether you sat next to them in class or attended a few years later - you never know who might have gone on to have a glittering career in sports, music or more.
Here are some of the famous faces that attended schools in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole:
James McVey
The Vamps - McVey on the right (Peter Byrne/PA)
James McVey, 27, is the lead guitarist in the pop rock band The Vamps.
He attended Corfe Hills School in Broadstone, Poole.
The band were signed in 2012 to Mercury Records and have toured continuously since then.
They have released five albums and appeared in the UK Top 10 five times. Some of their most famous songs include Can We Dance and Wake Up.
McVey also starred in the 18th series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! and finished in fifth place.
Carl Fletcher
Ex-professional Welsh football player and former manager of Plymouth Argyle, Carl Fletcher grew up around Bournemouth and also attended Poole High School.
He made his first league appearance for AFC Bournemouth in 1998 at the age of 17 and returned to the club in 2014 when he was appointed youth team manager.
Eddie Argos
Eddie Argos is the lead singer of English rock band Art Brut, and writer of comics.
He went to St Aldhelm's Academy in Parkstone where he attended as Kevin Macklin.
In 2012, Argos wrote an article for DIY magazine as to why he should be the UK's 2013 entry for the Eurovision Song Contest.
He now lives in Berlin with his partner and son.
Lucy Pinder
Model Lucy Pinder was born and raised in Bournemouth, attending St Peter's Catholic School in Southbourne.
She was scouted on Bournemouth Beach by a freelance photographer before going on to make her fame.
The glamour model appeared on many paper's page three sections including The Sun.
In 2009, she dipped her toes into reality television waters and went into the Celebrity Big Brother House, however, she was voted off in the first week.
Leilani Dowding
Another page-three glamour model to have attended St Peter's was Leilani Dowding.
She gained 11 GCSE's and three A-Levels at the school before studying an economics degree at the Royal Holloway University of London.
She later dropped out of university after her success in beauty pageants.
She represented the UK at the 1998 Miss Universe competition.
In 2003 she was rated #89 on the FHM Sexiest Women in World list.
Geva Mentor

International netball superstar Geva Mentor also attended St Peter's.
Born and raised in Bournemouth she debuted for the England national team in 2000 at the age of 16.
She currently plays for the Collingwood Magpies in the Australian Super Netball league, and prior to that was a two-time premiership captain at the Sunshine Coast Lightning.
Adam Lallana

St Peter's is becoing synonymous with educating some pretty famous faces, professional footballer Adam Lallana also went to the school.
He currently plays as an attacking midfielder for Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion and the England national team.
Born in St Albans he moved to the Ilford area at ust five years-old where he attended Corpus Christi School followed by St Peter's Catholic School.
Lallana was a member of the AFC Bournemouth Centre of Excellence, where he was spotted by a talent scout from Southampton. He joined the Premier League club's Saints Academy as a 12-year-old in September 2000.
He has played for Southampton, Liverpool, Brighton and Hove Albion and England.
Jamie Redknapp

The retired footballer and pundit attended Twynham School in Christchurch from 1984.
His father is the national treasure, Harry Redknapp and he is also the cousin of Frank Lampard.
Redknapp has played for AFC Bournemouth, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and England.
Miles Gibson - Novellist
Well-known novelist Miles Gibson attended The Grange School in Somerfield, Christchurch.
Raise in Mydeford the author moved to London and worked in advertising after finishing school.
He's written more than 10 novels including Einstein, The Prisoner of Meadow Bank and Kingdom Swann.
Greg Lake
Greg Lake gained prominence as a founding member of the progressive rock bands King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP).
In his early life he was born and raised in Oakdale, attended Poole High School as a teenager.
After school he worked at Poole docks before becoming a full-time musician at 17.
