A MAIN Dorset road was blocked in both directions due to flooding and a serious accident.
The A35 was closed between the Shell roundabout at Bere Regis and the B3150 Stinsford roundabout at Stinsford.
Police and fire and rescue crews were called to the scene just after 8am to reports of a single-vehicle crash.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service said they attended but discovered their services were not needed when they arrived.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "We received a report at 8.02am on a single vehicle collision on the A35 Puddletown bypass at the Northbrook junction.
"There were no reports of any injuries, however there was debris reported on the carriageway.
"Officers attended and the highways authority was notified. The road was cleared and officers left the scene at about 10.30am."
