SURFERS made the most of the wintry waves on the second weekend since lockdown began.
Bournemouth Town Centre was quiet on Saturday as the vast majority of people stayed home.
A few joggers took to the promenade and families could be seen walking through the gardens.
It was the sea that was busiest, however, as flocks of surfers made the most of the large waves by Bournemouth Pier.
And following last weekend’s protests, increased police patrols could be seen through the gardens.
Officers were speaking to members of the public by the pier and no trouble seemed to be afoot.
It comes just a week after police made arrests at a protest through the town centre.
And Dorset Police chief constable said officers were “ready” to disrupt and disperse protests this weekend.
