Commuters looking to travel from Bournemouth to Poole are expected to experience delays as Commercial Road is closed due to a burst water main.

Bournemouth Water are carrying out emergency water repairs between Bournemouth Triangle and Poole Hill, with work expected to last until Monday.

The current closure is affecting Yellow Buses and morebus routes from Bournemouth to Westbourne and Poole.

In a statement on their website, Yellow Buses said: “Due to the closure of Poole Hill for emergency water repairs, services will be unable to serve Poole Hill and Bournemouth Triangle when heading in the direction of Westbourne and Poole.”

Route 1, 3, 12 will divert via Bournemouth Square, continue along West Cliff Road  and turn right on to Durley Road  to continue  back to normal line of route.

The nearest alternative stop will be Bournemouth Square, Queens Road.

Route 18 services coming into Bournemouth will be unaffected, whilst outbound service will divert via BH2, turn left at BIC roundabout and travel West Cliff Road to resume the normal line of route.

Route 36 will be unable to serve the Triangle and will be diverting via Commercial Road and Avenue Road in both directions. The nearest alternative stop will be Poole Hill outside Marks and Spencers.
