MY FRIEND and I were discussing the coronavirus and were talking about the key workers who work in the supermarkets and keep the food chain going.
We feel that the health and welfare of these workers is never mentioned.
They work in close contact with customers who do not always keep the required distance and even lean over them to get the items they need.
Some customers do not wear masks and, although the staff wear masks, it surely means they are more likely to pass on their germs to the staff.
Surely these key workers should be given the Covid vaccination to keep them safe.
