Some of the cases heard in Salisbury Magistrates' Court in December:

TOMASI KANAILAGI MATAKIBAU, aged 40, of Alanbrooke Road, Larkhill, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On May 17 last year he was driving a vehicle along Lightfoot Road in Larkhill, with 60 microgrammes of alcohol in every 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £145 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £85. The defendant was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 15 months.

JUNE MARTIN, aged 31, of Roman Meadow, Downton, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a community order made, as she continued to have inappropriate contact with people aged under 18-years-old at her address. She was fined £50 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32.

ANNE MARIE HEWITT, aged 51, of Blandford Road, Coombe Bissett, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs. On January 18 last year Hewitt was driving a Ford Focus along Holders Road in Amesbury with a proportion of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol - a cannabinoid identified in cannabis - and cocaine in her blood. The defendant indicated a plea of guilty to possessing two wraps of cocaine. On May 26 Hewitt was driving a Ford Focus along Wilton Road in Salisbury, also with a proportion of the same two drugs in her blood. She was fined £80 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £90, and she must attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer. Hewitt was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 24 months.

LLOYD RIDEOUT, aged 31, of The Dell, Winchester, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour while drunk in Salisbury on May 22 last year. He indicated a plea of guilty to intentionally causing another person alarm, distress or harassment due to his behaviour. This incident was racially aggravated. Rideout was fined £450 and was ordered to pay compensation of £100 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £45.

JAMES FARMER, aged 26, of Spracklands, Dinton, admitted breaching the requirements of a community order, by failing to notify of a change of address. The original offence was driving while disqualified. Farmer was ordered to pay costs of £60.

RYAN BRINDLEY, aged 42, of James Road, Amesbury, indicated a plea of guilty to acting against a non-molestation order made by the family court at Bournemouth and Poole. On March 21 last year Brindley sent flowers and a card, and on March 27 he sent an Instagram message - both actions prohibited under the order. The defendant was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £90 and costs of £85. He must complete 120 hours of unpaid work. Under a restraining order, Brindley must not contact the victim nor attend a property in Swallowcliffe.

LLOYD CRANE, aged 27, of Woodbury Rise, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour while drunk in Salisbury on August 17 last year. He was fined £80 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £85.

Heard at Swindon Magistrates’:

DANIEL HUGHES, aged 39, of Saxon Leas, Winterslow, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs. On January 8 last year Hughes was driving a Renault Twingo along the A30 London Road in Salisbury with cocaine, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and Benzoylecgonine - the main metabolite of cocaine - in his blood. In total he was fined £240 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 15 months.
