A MOTHER who was killed after being hit by a lorry on a Hampshire motorway had been walking in the road at the time of her death, an inquest has heard.
Lisa Massey died at the scene of the incident on the westbound carriageway of the M27 between Junctions 2 at Ower and 3 at Nursling on April 10 last year.
Winchester Coroners' Court concluded that she was killed as a result of a road traffic collision.
As reported, police officers were called at around 4.20am.
The 40-year-old, who was born in Liverpool, was living in Victoria Place, Bournemouth at the time of her death.
Tributes were paid to Ms Massey by her family.
In a statement they said: "Lisa was one of a kind and was loved by everyone who knew her.
"She radiated love and life wherever she went and will be greatly missed as a mother, a daughter, a sister and a friend.
"She was a beautiful soul and she will remain that way in the hearts of all who knew her."
