A MAN who entered part of a Dorset town which he was barred from has appeared in court.
Joseph Anthony Farrell was subject to a community protection notice which instructed him not to enter a designated area described as Blandford Town.
However, on October 25 he entered the Spar convenience store in Market Place and on December 21 he entered Greyhound House in Market Place.
Farrell, aged 43 and of Peel Close, Blandford, admitted both offences and also a charge of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress in Blandford Forum on September 18.
Appearing at Poole Magistrates’ Court on December 22, he was fined £300 and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £85 costs.
However, these financial penalties were to be written off due to the time the defendant had spent in custody.
