FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a Dorset recycling centre late on Christmas Day.
Crews tackled a blaze inside a building at the facility in Arena Way off Magna Road involving a quantity of rubbish.
A spokeswoman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 10.37pm on December 25 to a fire inside a building at the recycling centre.
"An appliances from Redhill Park, two from Poole and one from Westbourne attended initially, with a water carried from Ringwood requested after 11pm.
"One main line was used and a digger to spread the refuse out.
"The stop message came at 11.47pm."
Meanwhile, firefighters from Wareham were called to a HGV rubbish lorry on fire at 11.03pm on Christmas Day.
Poole's water carrier also attended and helped to bring the fire under control.
