A WARNING has been issued to residents after a series of reports regarding Nottingham Knockers attempting to sell goods from large holdalls at overinflated prices.
Officers have received calls from communities in East and North Dorset about cold callers knocking on their doors.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said these people have purported to being ex-offenders selling goods from large items.
"Items including cleaning products, which are generally over inflated in price, were offered for sale," said the spokesperson.
"Residents are asked to check the ID of such callers and confirm whether they have a current Peddlers licence issued by the Police.
"Please be wary of such callers at this time of the year."
