A PROPERTY is cordoned off by police after a "large quantity" of cannabis plants was found.

Officers attended an address in Bell Street in Shaftesbury at around 2.30pm yesterday and carried out a search of the property.

A large quantity of cannabis plants was located inside the premises.

A man aged in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of producing a class B drug and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Officers remain at the address carrying out enquiries and a cordon is in place.
