A UNIVERSITY student hanged himself at his halls of residence, an inquest hearing was told yesterday.
Nathanial Vincent Navanithian Frank, aged 20, was found dead at the Oxford Point building, Oxford Road, Bournemouth, on Friday, December 4.
During a hearing at Dorset Coroner's Court, Bournemouth Town Hall, on Thursday, December 10, coroner Rachael Griffin opened and adjourned an inquest into the young man's death.
Coroners officer Phillipa Morgan told the court Mr Frank, from Harrow, was a student with a room at the halls.
He had been studying at Arts University Bournemouth (AUB).
Ms Morgan said: "He was found deceased in his room by friends.
"Ambulance attended and confirmed the death.
"Police attended and confirmed no suspicious circumstances or evidence of third party involvement."
In a statement released after Mr Frank's death, a spokesman for AUB said: "Our heartfelt thoughts and sympathies are with the student’s family and friends at this very sad time.
“We would ask that their privacy is respected, following this difficult news.”
AUB also said it was continuing to offer wellbeing support for people affected.
The inquest was adjourned for a pre-inquest review scheduled for March 16, next year.
