THREE loose ponies on Hurn Road were rescued by police following an emergency call earlier today, Monday, December 7.
A member of the public called 999 after catching one of the three ponies.
A police officer helped to catch the remaining two ponies and prevented any serious injuries or damage.
The yard manager has been informed and the ponies are now safe.
Christchurch Police have thanked the member of the public who called them so quickly.
