A MAN was rescued from a river after falling out of a kayak and struggling to get to safety.
Emergency services were called to the River Stour at Iford at 12.30pm yesterday.
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue crew attended along with police, coastguards and the RNLI.
A fire service spokesman said: "A crew from Christchurch attended the River Stour at Iford where a male had come out of his kayak and couldn't get to safety.
"Crews assisted the male from the river with the use of throw lines. Police and RNLI also attended."
