A ROAD closure is in place at Holes Bay in Poole this morning following a serious crash involving two lorries.
Police, ambulance and fire services were called to the scene of the collision, which took place near Willis Way at the Fleets Industrial Estate shortly before 5am.
Four fire crews attended the incident and assisted in freeing one of the drivers who was trapped.
A spokeswoman for Dorset Police said: "At 4.50am on Thursday, December 3, Dorset Police received a report of a serious road traffic collision involving two lorries on Willis Way at the Fleets Industrial Estate in Poole.
"Police, ambulance and fire services are all at the scene to deal with the incident. A road closure has been put in place at Holes Bay."
Police cars are parked at both ends of Willis Road, which currently remains closed.
Several officers could be seen examining the scene, with an ambulance parked nearby.
A spokeswoman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Poole (three) and Dorchester were called to an RTC on Willis Way, Poole at 4.55am this morning.
"The incident involved two lorries and a trapped driver. Firefighters worked alongside ambulance crews to free the casualty using winches and hydraulic rescue equipment. The casualty was released by 7.04am and taken to hospital – the stop came at 7.25am."
