IT MUST be a very worrying time for employees of local Topshop, Topman, Burton, Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge stores.
Sir Philip Green is a very wealthy man and should perhaps find the £30 million to save the livelihoods of the employees himself.
The laws of this country need changing so that businesses cannot be run into the ground.
Employees or their representatives should have much more say.
Companies must have a duty in law to act in the best interests of employees as well as shareholders.
