LESS than 60 coronavirus cases were recorded in Dorset over the last 24 hours, latest figures show.

In the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on November 30, 58 cases were confirmed.

The BCP Council area recorded 34 cases, taking the total since the start of the pandemic to 7,177.

In the seven days leading up to November 25, 411 cases were confirmed in BCP, giving a rolling infection rate of 104 per 100,000 people.

The Dorset Council area recorded 24 cases, meaning 3,212 people have tested positive there since the start of the pandemic.

In the week leading up to November 25, 171 cases were confirmed, a rolling rate of 45.2 per 100,000.

Yesterday, 57 cases were recorded in Dorset.

Elsewhere, seven cases were recorded in the New Forest, taking the total to 1,825.

In the seven days leading up to November 25, 75 people tested positive, give a rate of 41.6 per 100,000 people.
