A POOLE man who committed affray and damaged a table and chairs belonging to a Bournemouth bar has avoided an immediate prison sentence.
David Peter Russell, aged 31, used or threatened unlawful violence towards other people on August 6.
He then went on to damage £100 worth of furniture belonging to the owner of the Tipsy Cow in Charminster Road, Bournemouth.
Russell, whose address was given as Foxholes Road, Oakdale, admitted both offences when he appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 23.
The defendant was committed to prison for 24 weeks, suspended for 12 months, with the bench noting the serious nature of the offence and the fear caused at a licensed premises.
He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation, £128 surcharge and £85 costs.
