POLICE have made two arrests after a tractor was stolen during a burglary at a farm.

Actions by Fareham officers in the Response and Patrol team resulted in two arrests in the Sarisbury area this week.

Posted on social media police said: "We’d been called at 6.30pm on Tuesday 24 November with reports that a burglary had taken place at a local farm, during which a small red tractor had been stolen.

Officers attended, seized a vehicle which was at the scene and arrested two people.

During our enquiries, we recovered two motorbikes, one of which was suspected to have been stolen from the Burley area of the New Forest on 9 November."

The two men arrested are: a 40-year-old man from Southampton, arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 32-year-old man from Hedge End, arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

Both have been bailed with conditions until 22 December.
