A DRIVER was reported for court for travelling without insurance and having defective tyres.
Officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team stopped the silver Mazda 6 in Boscombe after finding on the database it had no insurance.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police No Excuse said: “When stopped the driver claimed he had insurance, being a named driver on a friends policy - this was cancelled in August.
“Upon checking the vehicle, the tyre was showing cord.
“The driver, a 22-year-old male driver, received a ticket to court for the offences of no insurance and a defective tyre.”
