MORE than 80 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Dorset over the last 24 hours, latest figures show.
Data released by the government shows 82 cases were confirmed in Dorset in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on November 25.
49 cases came in the BCP Council area, taking the total since the start of the pandemic to 6,949.
In the seven days leading up to November 20, 634 cases were confirmed in BCP, a rolling infection rate of 160.4 per 100,000 people.
33 cases were confirmed in the Dorset Council area in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 3,101.
In the week leading up to November 20, 306 cases were confirmed in Dorset, giving an infection rate of 80.8 per 100,000.
Yesterday, 58 cases were confirmed in Dorset.
Elsewhere, six cases were confirmed in the New Forest, taking the total to 1,777 since the start of the pandemic.
157 cases were confirmed in the week leading up to November 20, an infection rate of 87.2 per 100,000.
