There are lots of reasons a property won't sell, including being in a state of ill-repair or being overpriced.
According to home and lifestyle website The Spruce, potential buyers are mainly looking for a good location, space and future potential.
However, there might not be anything necessarily wrong with a property and the lack of interest can be down to poor marketing. The Money Saving Expert has a range of tips and tricks on choosing the best estate agent.
Whatever the reason, here are the homes in Bournemouth that haven’t met their perfect match yet:
First listed: December 2017
Aquila, 21 Boscombe Overcliff Drive, BH5
£475,000
This two-bedroom flat in Boscombe first appeared on Zoopla three years ago in December 2017.
Aquila overlooks the ocean and has a prominent spot on the beautiful Overcliff Drive.
First appearing on the market for a whopping £595,000 this flat has really struggled to sell.
In the three years this flat has had three price reductions amounting to £120,000 being knocked off the original asking price.
First listed: May 2018
Westbourne Park Road, Westbourne, BH4
£149,950
Located in the sought-after area of Westbourne, this one-bedroom flat first came on to the market in May 2018 for £160,000.
Since then, the property has been reduced by more than £10,000.
The property is in need of some modernisation and updating throughout, however appears to be completely liveable.
Outside there is an allocated parking space for the flat and a communal lawn garden.
First listed: June 2018
Shelbourne Road, BH8
£196,900
Located in Charminster, this two double bedroom flat has been on the market for more than two years.
In need of some modernisation and a bit of a facelift, this property is ideally located for a small family or first-time buyer.
The first floor property benefits from loft storage and a large private garden. There is street parking outside the front of the property.

Oakhurst, retirement over 55.
This one-bedroom apartment is located in the desirable Oakhurst retirement facility, for over 55's.
After more than two years on the market this retirement flat has been reduced in price six times and is now up for sale at just £15,000 more than it was bought for.
Notoriously hard to sell, retirement properties are not always the safest investment warns the Home Owners Alliance.
Research by the Elderly Accommodation Counsel showed that around half of new build retirement homes sold during a 10-year period were later resold at a loss.
