ENGINEERS worked to fix a blocked sewer which led to a leak in Bournemouth.
The team from Wessex Water were called to Prince of Wales road on Monday to deal with the issue.
A section of the road that goes across Bournemouth Upper Gardens had to be closed off while the problem was resolved.
Councillor Mark Anderson, BCP cabinet portfolio holder for environment, cleansing and waste, said: “Wessex Water attended Prince of Wales road yesterday as the sewers were blocked and were subsequently leaking.
"The crew used a high powered water jet to clear the obstruction through the pipes without the need to dig down.
"Although the sewer pipes are the responsibility of Wessex Water, we continue to provide support as needed when incidents like this happen across our conurbation.”
