SOCIAL services have been informed after police stopped a driver suspected to be under the influence of cocaine with children in the car.
Officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team stopped the grey VW Golf in Blandford due to concerns the registered keeper was driving under the influence of drugs.
A spokesman said: "When stopped in West Street, Blandford, the 40 year old male provided a positive drugwipe for cocaine and was arrested. He provided blood and has been released under investigation while it’s sent off to be analysed.
"Social services have been informed for the child’s welfare."
Dorset Police have now confirmed that the man arrested in connection with the incident has been released without charge.
