MORE than 130 coronavirus cases were recorded in Dorset in the last 24 hours, latest figures show.
Data released by the government shows 137 people tested positive for the virus in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on November 17.
95 of these cases came in the BCP Council area, taking the council area’s total since the start of the pandemic to 6,350.
In the seven days leading up to November 12, 958 people tested positive in BCP, a rolling infection rate of 242.3 per 100,000 of the population.
43 people tested positive in the Dorset Council area, taking the total to 2,821.
In the seven days leading up to November 12, 416 people returned positive tests, a rate of 109.9 per 100,000.
Elsewhere, 19 people tested positive in the New Forest, taking the total to 1,639.
In the week before November 12, 254 cases were confirmed, a rolling rate of 141 per 100,000 people.
