A ROAD in North Dorset has been closed in both directions by police officers following a serious crash this afternoon.
Boynes Lane near Blandford is currently closed in both directions due to a collision between the junction for Fontmell Magna and the turn off to Iwerne Minister.
The resulting collision and road closure is affecting traffic between Melbury Abbas and Blandford Forum.
Dorset Police has advised motorists to follow alternative routes in the area and "be patient" during the traffic delays.
Travel Dorset has shared: "Fontmell Hill - Boynes Lane closed both directions due to a collision between the turning for Fontmell Magna and the turning for Iwerne Minster.
"Affecting traffic between Melbury Abbas and Blandford Forum."
