A MAN who threatened a Bournemouth convenience store worker before stealing £4.47 worth of alcohol has been handed a prison sentence and banned from entering the shop.
John Hayward, aged 29 and of no fixed abode, committed the crimes at MJ Wines in Commercial Road, Bournemouth on August 21.
Hayward appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 9, where he pleaded guilty to charges of theft and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.
The defendant was committed to prison for four weeks concurrent to an existing custodial sentence of 20 weeks imprisonment.
He was also issued with a restraining order, which lasts until November 8, 2022 and bans him from entering MJ Wines and having any contact with the victim.
