WITH staggered starts due to the pandemic, the walk to school looks very different these days.
Many of us will remember slowly dawdling along the pavement, happy to see our friends but not so happy with the prospect of spending the day in class.
We each looked tidy in our clean and and pristine uniforms and not a hair was out of place - stark contrast to the bedraggled monstrosities we became just half-an-hour after school began.
These pictures were taken in 2000 to help promote the benefits of children walking to school.
