Do you remember when Dorset’s first waterslide opened? Back in 1986 Olympic gold medallist Duncan Goodhew opened the waterslide at the BIC along with many local children. Duncan and young swimmers voted the 150 foot slide a hit and even managed to persuade mayor and mayoress Dan and Marie Crone to try the £65,000 slide.
