If you remember Tucktonia, the theme park at Tuckton, then the Golfers Arms will be part of the memory, too. The pub which was at part of Tucktonia’s history from the very start in the 1960s when a nine-hole golf course was constructed and the pub was given the name the Golfers Arms. Later an amusement arcade was added and then the model village which open in 1976. The popular attraction which gained national fame but sadly after years of success closed its doors in 1986 and the building including the pub were eventually demolished to make way for residential buildings.
