IN the last 24 hours, more than 180 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Dorset, latest figures show.
Data released by the government shows 183 people tested positive in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on November 1.
130 of these cases came in the BCP Council area, taking the total since the start of the pandemic to 3,991.
In the seven days leading up to October 27, 829 cases were recorded in BCP, giving a rolling infection rate of 209.7 per 100,000 people.
In the Dorset Council area, 53 people tested positive taking the total to 2,067 since the start of the pandemic.
In the seven days leaing up to October 27, 420 people have tested positive, a rate of 111 per 100,000.
Elsewhere, in the New Forest, 15 people tested positive, taking the total to 1,182.
175 people tested positive in the week leading up to October 27, a rate of 97.2 per 100,000.
