A CHRISTMAS pop-up market of Dorset food & drink will ring in the festive season at The Tank Museum this year.

The best of Dorset produce will be on offer inside the Museum on Saturday December 5 and Sunday December 6, in partnership with Dorset Food & Drink.

Edible delights will be accompanied by stalls selling festive gifts, against a backdrop of seasonal music.

Events Manager Rosanna Dean said: “Visitors can enjoy this festive pop-up market in the warmth of Dorset's largest indoor attraction.

“In the four months since re-opening, our industry recognised processes have reassured thousands of visitors - helping us maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing and allowing them to feel welcome and secure.

"This event will be no exception - and hopefully offer a 'taste' of things to come as The Tank Museum looks to partner with Dorset Food and Drink for similar pop-up events in 2021."

Complete the Christmas Elf Trail and children will win a special prize, before getting messy with Museum craft activities.

Dorset Food & Drink Coordinator, Caroline Richards added: “We are thrilled to have been invited to ‘pop-up’ at the Tank Museum and work with the team and volunteers to bring a taste of the ‘Dorset Larder’ to this event in the run up to the festive season.”

The Tank Museum Restaurant will be serving up a Christmas carvery lunch of turkey and all the trimmings, with an option for non-alcoholic mulled wine.

Visitors can also explore The Tank Museum’s brand-new exhibition: WW2 War Stories which tells the story of the Royal Armoured Corps between 1939 and 1945 and features new objects and previously unheard stories from British Second World War veterans.

The Tank Museum will also have their own range of Christmas products on offer, including a Christmas jumper, face mask, tank-themed baubles, scarf, socks and slippers.

Customers can book online in advance for entry and annual passes are valid fro the event.
