A FIVE-bedroom house in the Lake District is the most expensive on the market in Cumbria.
Balla Wray at High Wray near Ambleside is up for sale for £3.5 million.
Originally built in 1870, the house has a separate detached stable cottage, whose upstairs is used as a gym.
It is described by estate agents Ashdown Jones as 'the holy grail of Lake District homes'.
"Once the electric oak gate closes behind the car, Balla Wray becomes a bastion of beauty and solace," a listing for the house said.
