A BMW car registered in Qatar which had reportedly been used to rack up 41 outstanding speeding offences in Dorset has been seized.
Officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team said the silver BMW M5 had been clocked doing 76mph in a 30mph zone.
The vehicle was located in Bournemouth on Friday, October 23, and allegedly found it with a tampered exhaust, "excessive" tints on the front window and no UK registration plates despite being in country for more than six months.
A spokesperson for the team said: "We went proactively looking for it today and witnessed it being driven on Durley Road Bournemouth.
"Due to this vehicle not being registered in the UK we were unsure where the owner lived, until today.
"The driver couldn't produce a licence or insurance.
"The vehicle's exhaust has been tampered with, making it very loud. The tints on the front window are excessive. The vehicle has been in the country longer than six month so it should have been registered with the DVLA by now and displayed UK plates.
"The vehicle was seized, the vehicle examiners have been booked and the investigation into the outstanding speeding offences is ongoing.
"DVLA will also be informed so they can investigate the tax offences etc. The driver has been reported to court."
