YEAR 10 pupils from Bournemouth School for Girls have been asked to work from home this week following a confirmed coronavirus case.
Headteacher for Bournemouth School for Girls Alistair Brien confirmed “the difficult decision” was made to ask year 10 pupils to work from home.
Pupils from Springdale First School in Broadstone have also been asked to self-isolate following coronavirus cases.
Sam Crowe, director of Public Health for Dorset and BCP Councils said: “We are aware of confirmed cases of Covid-19 at Springdale First School in Broadstone.
“The school is working closely with Public Health Dorset, BCP Council and Public Health England South West to ensure that all necessary measures are being met.
“All close contacts of the confirmed case have been notified and advised to self-isolate for 14-days.
“Contacts of the confirmed case should get tested if they go on to develop symptoms. Even if people test negative, they must still self-isolate for 14-days.”
