TWO drivers speeding at more than 100mph were stopped during police checks on a Dorset road.
One young driver told officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team he is now likely to lose his job.
A further vehicle was travelling at 93mph when checks were carried out on the A30 at Sherborne on Friday night.
"It was explained to the young driver that their driving career was in their own hands and should they continue to drive like that they could expect it to be a short career unless they were able to change the manner of their driving" said a spokesman.
The officer said two of the vehicles were more than 20 years old and "their conditions couldn’t be described as A1."
The officer added: "Crashes at these speeds in older vehicles could result in far more significant risk of serious injury if not death to the occupants due to lack of modern safety features.
