CANNABIS was seized during a raid at a home in Ringwood.

Police executed a warrant at the address in Winston Way at 7am today.

A small amount of cannabis was discovered and a 29-year-old man was dealt with at the property by means of an out of court disposal – a community resolution enforcement measure.

Local neighbourhood policing teams and PCSOs will be patrolling the local area today and in the coming days, conducting house-to-house enquiries and offering reassurance to the local community.

Inspector for the New Forest West District, Michael Minnock, said: “We know that a lot people will think, it’s just a bit of cannabis, but we want to stress this isn't always the case - it could be linked to serious criminality.

"That’s why we are really keen to hear from people who suspect there is cannabis cultivation or drug related activity going on their neighbourhood.

"Every call you make to us is logged and helps us build up an intelligence picture about what might be happening in your community. This allows us to take action and prevent your neighbourhoods from harm."
