A QUIRKY1959 Airstream replica complete with wood fire proved to be the perfect recipe for Rachael Cutler’s catering company - Pizza with Love.

After five years growing her business, 2020 was set to be the busiest to date, with Rachael catering for two weddings each week and a host of corporate events planned throughout the year.

But then the coronavirus pandemic struck.

“It’s heartbreaking," said Rachael. "I have had brides on the phone crying, fellow suppliers in desperate worry and of course I have been terrified myself.

“The wedding industry is in a terrible state at the moment and my heart goes out to everyone involved.”

Bournemouth Echo:

Rachael said: “We were fully booked with weddings this year as we had worked our socks off last year at wedding fares and marketing events.

“I was so excited. We had such a great year last year and had been nominated for various awards, including the Dorset wedding awards and BH Stars. It was a dream come true.”

The pandemic has been devastating to much of the hospitality industry. And as a mobile caterer, Rachael was unable to receive the grants other hospitality sections were accessing.

So with no weddings, corporate events or private parties Rachael was forced to find creative ways to keep Pizza with Love afloat.

So, she made adjustment to keep her delicious wood-fire pizza on the road.

Rachael launched Pizza Pop-Up at Langside School in Wallisdown every Friday between 4.30pm and 9pm.

“We take pre-orders for collections through our Facebook page. We have 10-minute allocated time slots to ensure everyone’s safety and it works great.

“I am planning to increase the evenings as we have been sold out for the last couple of Friday’s. But, I am solely relying on this to get us through the next six months.”

Bournemouth Echo:

Rachael built Pizza with Love from scratch, inspired by her two beautiful boys.

“I am so incredibly proud of how far the business have come. Pizza with Love fills me with passion and pride not only because I love hospitality and catering, but also, being chosen to cater for a couple’s wedding is such a huge honour! I give every client my absolute 100 per cent attention and dedication.”

Rachael added: “My heart and soul have genuinely gone into this business, trying to build something for both my future and for the future of my boys too.”
