AN INTERACTIVE map has revealed potential coronavirus ‘hotspots’ in Dorset.
The map, which uses data from Public Health England, showed Charminster had seven lab-confirmed positive cases of the virus between September 23 to 29, while Mudeford had eight.
The country is split up by Middle Super Output Area (MSOA), which are small areas with an average population of 7,200, and the data is updated every weekday, with the map showing the last seven days for which complete data is available.
Various parts of the county were shaded in light blue, meaning they had three to nine cases.
Upon closer inspection, Central Bournemouth had three, as did the East Cliff and Boscombe West had four.
In Winton, there were six confirmed cases, and five in Queens Park.
Creekmoor, where the nearest drive-thru testing centre is based, had three cases of the virus. Christchurch had four.
Further afield, Blandford Outer had five and Blandford Forum had four.
There were three cases in Lymington.
It comes as Public Health Dorset said cases in the BCP and Dorset Councils were, despite increasing, beginning to level off.
Between September 22 and 28, there were 78 cases in the BCP area, a rate of 19.7 infections per 100,000 people, and 29 in the Dorset Council area, a rate of 7.7 per 100,000.
