MUM-of-two Claire Smith from Christchurch survived a gruelling 875 mile Jogle from John O’Groats to Land’s End in memory of her friend.
Claire carried all her belongings including her tent in the brutal 24 day challenge, which raised £6,000 for the Forest Holme Hospice Charity in Poole, which gave end-of-life care to her friend Susan Northcott earlier this year.
Claire said: “Susan was a huge inspiration and support to me from my teens and all throughout my adult life. She was an amazingly strong lady who loved adventures and sea swimming. I just hope I made her proud. Forest Holme Hospice, who looked after her so well earlier this year.”
