A DANGEROUS driver has been handed six penalty points and ordered to pay more than £500 after speeding on the A35.
Officers from Dorset Police's dedicated No Excuse road safety team were patrolling the A35 in an unmarked car on May 24 when a Skoda overtook them at high speed.
The driver was stopped by the police after clocking speeds of 97mph in a 60mph zone.
Following court proceedings, the driver received six penalty points and was ordered to pay a fine of £412 and prosecution costs/surcharge of £126.
