A MAJOR police operation has been launched following an incident at a boarded up pub.
The emergency services have been called to the former Goose and Timber pub in Christchurch town centre.
The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was also called to the scene and landed on the playing fields across the road.
Details of the incident have not been revealed but there are four police cars currently in the car park at the back of the former pub.
Officers could be seen carrying evidence bags from the premises while others were carring out a detailed search around the outside of the building.
Police officers could be also be seen searching a nearby clothes bank.
The pub, in Barrack Road, which was formerly called Dukes, has been closed for more than four years.
