A MAN who drove at double the 30mph speed limit in a Poole road and was caught drink driving three months later has been banned from driving for almost four years.

Lukas Bernhard Brown, aged 28, was dealt with at Poole Magistrates’ Court for three separate motoring offences – he admitted all of the crimes.

On November 23, 2019, Brown was caught speeding in a Ford car on the A338 Spur Road Cooper Dean to Blackwater Junction.

Two months later, on January 22, he was recorded travelling at 60mph, again in a Ford car, in a 30mph zone in Canford Cliffs Road, Poole.

The defendant was also found drink driving in the same vehicle on April 18, when he gave a reading of 88 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35 micrograms – in Lansdowne Road, Bournemouth on April 18.

Magistrates sitting on September 23 disqualified him from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 46 months for the drink driving offence and 28 days for the speeding matters.

Brown, of Victoria Road, Bournemouth, was fined £933 and ordered to pay £93 surcharge and £85 costs.
