A BOURNEMOUTH man has been fined £700 after being involved in the handling of a stolen jacket and Dairy Milk chocolate bars.
Husseyin Ekinci, aged 35, was sentenced at Poole Magistrates’ Court on September 11 after admitting the two offences at an earlier hearing.
The defendant had undertook or assisted in the retention of £23.92 worth of Diary Milk chocolate bars from WH Smith and a jacket valued at £150 belonging to an unknown person.
Ekinci, whose address was given as Claremont Avenue, Bournemouth, committed the crimes in Queen’s Road, Bournemouth on October 26 last year.
Magistrates handed him a £350 fine for each crime, along with an order to pay £23.92 compensation to WH Smith, a £70 surcharge and £85 costs.
