One review, entitled "Excellent", reads: "We had a quick impromptu visit to Weymouth and wanted fish and chips.
"We could not have picked better. We both had cod and chips and agreed it was the best we have had for years.
"Crispy batter, pure white fish with no skin. Chips were golden and cooked perfectly. Will definitely return."

Customers describe the chippy as "amazing and well organised" with some tourists stating it is "worth a return visit."

It reads: "A return visitor, we were relieved to find it open and serving takeaway. Fast no nonsense service with clear COVID-19 directions ensured the queue moved quickly.

One review loved how it offered gluten-free food and claimed they were the best she had eaten.
It reads: "I visited Weymouth in September and found this fish and chip shop. It advertises gluten-free so I checked it out. I ended up eating there 3 times!
"It was amazing. I’m vegetarian so stuck to chips and curry sauce but there were meat and fish gluten-free options available.
"The staff was knowledgeable and it was all separate. I ate in once and had takeaway twice - it was nice to sit down by the harbour.
"Would recommend a visit! My family is neither gluten-free or vegetarian and they also ate there and said it was delicious."

One reviewer said: "My husband and I have just eaten in and had a wonderful fish supper. One cod, one haddock and some gravy, peas and curry sauce.
"Served piping hot, plenty of chips which were cooked perfectly. We were both defeated by the portions and they are great value for money.
"My haddock was fresh, crisp and really yummy. The table service was good and our waitress Kira was very accommodating, very helpful and kept the restaurant and the customers dining in COVID safe.
"Thanks team, a treat to dine with you tonight. Perfect start to our staycation."

According to TripAdvisor, it is also the best place to go for fish and chips - among other delicious dishes.
People have praised its "excellent" food and quality customer service as one diner wrote "it was the best-battered fish I have ever had."
One reviewer said: "Delicious seafood restaurant on the Esplanade facing Weymouth Beach serving freshly caught fish.
"I wanted to try brill but they didn’t have that on the day and went for John Dory instead, wasn’t disappointed. Highly recommended."
Another reviewer called it a "fantastic fish restaurant."
She wrote: "Highly recommend Rockfish in Weymouth for a superb fish meal. The staff are very helpful, friendly and efficient.
"Booking is advisable as it gets very busy especially in these challenging times where social distancing is important. The standard of hygiene is first class."
