THIRTEEN more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Dorset in the last 24 hours, latest figures show.

Data released by the government shows in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on Friday, 11 people tested positive in the BCP Council area.

It means since the start of the pandemic, 1,066 people have tested positive in BCP, giving an infection rate of 269.6 per 100,000 people.

In the Dorset Council area, two people tested positive.

This makes it 728 positive cases since the start of the pandemic, a rate of 192.3 per 100,000.

Elsewhere, there were no new cases in the New Forest, meaning the total remained at 564, a rate of 313.2 per 100,000.
