IT was ready, get-set, go for Brownies as they competed against one another during their sports day.
Local divisions of the Girl Guiding groups hopped, skipped and jumped their way to success at Beaulieu Airfield on July 9, 1983.
The event attracted hundreds of girls to compete, but hundreds more turned up to offer support and cheer them on every step of the way.
