SEVEN people have tested positive for coronavirus over the last 24 hours, latest figures show.
Data released by the government shows four people in the BCP Council area tested positive in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm yesterday.
It means 1,040 have tested positive in BCP since the start of the pandemic, giving an infection rate of 263.1 per 100,000.
In the Dorset Council area three people tested positive, taking the total to 726.
The infection rate in the Dorset Council area now stands at 191.8 per 100,000.
Elsewhere, two people tested positive in the New Forest, taking the total to 563 and giving a rate of 312.6 per 100,000.
A further 11 people have died in hospitals across England, taking the total to29,687.
None of the deaths came in the south west.
