GARDENING is a great way to relax. Being around plants and nature has been shown to lower stress levels and improve our mood.
So it is little surprise Linda Colon in Oakdale spend most days in their garden, dead heading, watering and taking care of all the flora and fauna which is still blooming as summer is gently coming to an end.
Linda said: “I garden every day either growing flowers dead heading or watering especially this time of year.
"I love to be able to see everything grow and bloom and it’s nice to sit in the garden and enjoy it.”
Lavender and colourful bedding plants grow in this planter in Linda’s garden.
At this time of year, especially with the recent warm weather, Linda has been watering most days and dead heading to keep her plants flowering for longer.
A gorgeous rose bush clambers over the fence and is in full bloom.
